For Each 1 Reach 1 Mentoring Program Inc & Reach Academy in Brooksville, FL is looking for special people to share their teaching gift with our students. We are located at 7318 Sunshine Grove Rd. Our ideal candidates are self-driven, punctual, and reliable.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
Teachers should always operate with integrity, doing what is in the best interest of the school. They must develop, adapt, modify, and individualize educational materials, resources, techniques, methods, and strategies to meet the needs of students within the schools' curriculum framework. Teachers must bring a sophisticated understanding and ability to apply theories of effective practices for: student learning, growth, and development; differentiated instructional strategies; academic standards and accountability systems. Serves as general education classroom teacher, classes taught may be single or multi grade level, subject, skill, or specialty oriented. Perform duties within a team or departmental setting or work independently in a unique teaching specialty. This person must have strong classroom management skills and can teach 3rd-8th grade. Teachers should pay close attention to the students learning style and work with them to reach their full potential. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. Modifies instructional activities as required and carries out a variety of student monitoring and supports activities. English Teacher must be passionate for the assignment with an ability to reach out to students and create arelationship of mutual trust.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any subject area.
· Florida State Teachers Certification.
· Three or more years of teaching experience.
· Special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualify you to provide instruction in the
subject taught. Skills may be demonstrated by any documentation indicating that
Education Mentor (Teacher) has skills to be teaching that subject such as past
work experience, certifications, programs completed, professional development,
curriculum training, etc.
· Must pass background screening.
· Must pass evaluations.
· Solid understanding of teaching best practices.
· Excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills.
· A creative mindset and friendly demeanor.
· Well organized with excellent leadership abilities.
· Ability to make sound judgement, apply knowledge of current research and theory to
instructional programs and utilize multimedia and computer technology effectively.
· Proficient with most mainstream office software and computer skills.
· An ability to plan and implement lessons based on the school objectives and the
needs and abilities of students to whom assigned.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups of
students, peers, and parents.
