Job Description
As a Virtual Property Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our policyholders. Working remotely from your home office, your primary responsibilities will include virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately. You’ll interface with customers, contractors, and vendors through platforms such as Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, phone, email, and text. This role places a specific focus on wind and hail claims, ensuring our customers receive top-notch support and resolution.What You’ll Do
Customer Service Expert – Live into Allstate’s Claims Culture by caring, empowering, and restoring. You’ll lead with empathy and be a compassionate, clear, and committed partner in each property claim.
Investigator – Confidently and independently investigate property claims, perform detailed damage reviews, and interpret policies to determine coverage.
Effective Communicator – Use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. Tailor communication to customer preferences and keep them updated.
Negotiator – Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, using sound legal and business practices—even in challenging or complex situations.
Problem Solver – Use multiple tools in a fast-paced environment, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms, while applying sharp critical thinking skills.
Recorder – Protect the company financially by executing policies accurately and maintaining clear documentation in the claims system.
Additional responsibilities include:
Using high-resolution photographs and advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors and write damage estimates virtually.
Conducting detailed property reviews and writing estimates to capture the extent of damages.
Reviewing policies and explaining coverage and estimates to customers.
Communicating empathetically and guiding customers through the claims process.
Negotiating settlements in accordance with business unit standards.
Using data and analytics to support decision-making.
Completing and reviewing contents inventory, pricing, and mitigation bills.
Inspecting and estimating damage from water, hail, smoke, or fire.
Investigating and verifying moderately to occasionally complex coverage and policy information.
You’re a Great Match If You Have:
At least 3+ years Property Field Claims Experience
Familiarity with Xactimate and other virtual assessment tools.
Strong analytical skills to assess damages and determine coverage.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality claim resolutions.

Fully remote; open to any U.S. time zone (except CA, AK, WA, HI, PR).
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

Licensing Information
Your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, which includes passing a background check with the Department of Labor.
If applicable, licenses should be secured within 60 days of hire.
The Hiring Manager and Centralized Licensing team will support you through the licensing process.
Technology & Internet Requirements
50 MBPS download and 5 MBPS upload. In addition, wired internet connections are recommended for optimal experience and may be required for certain customer-facing roles.

Base compensation offered for this role is $51,500.00 - $87,600.00 / annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
