Our team of over 165 employees is mostly based in our headquarters in Manhattan, and we have additional offices in London, Dublin and Melbourne. We are a growing company, in the size of our team, our locations, and our assets under management. We seek partners, not just employees, at every level in the firm and are looking for an exceptional new team member to grow with us. At Pzena, we invest in your career and have a strong track record of internal mobility.

Summary:

This 9-week internship opportunity starts on June 8 through August 7, 2026, based at our headquarters in New York City. It offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment where the HR function is evolving and building out new processes.

Working closely with the HR team, the intern will support employees and departments across the organization and gain exposure to a broad range of human resources practices, including but not limited to recruiting, performance management, benefits, talent & development, HR technology, HR administration, and HR compliance. The internship program includes opportunities to build relationships across the firm through day-to-day collaboration, work events, and informal mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support onboarding activities as needed by assisting with the preparation and organization of onboarding materials and helping facilitate communication between new hires, managers, and the HR team.
  • Assist with HR compliance initiatives, including auditing Form I-9s and helping organize and standardize employment documentation and folder structures as processes are refined.
  • Provide support during performance management and talent development activities, including tracking documentation, coordinating timelines, and preparing materials for managers and employees.
  • Assist with testing, documenting, and providing feedback on HR technology tools and process changes as new systems or enhancements are rolled out.
  • Shadow members of the HR team across day-to-day activities, meetings, and projects to gain exposure to HR operations, decision-making, and best practices within a small, evolving HR function.
  • Participate in team meetings and project discussions to gain insight into how HR partners with leadership and other departments in a financial services environment.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives related to employee experience, engagement, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with interns from other departments on a summer-long group project, culminating in a final presentation to stakeholders firmwide at the end of the internship program.
