JOB SUMMARY:
The housekeeping Supervisor supervises the housekeeping staff and inspects hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and the lobby. Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning, and directing staff and addressing and resolving guest complaints.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all hotel policies and standard operation procedures of the Hotel and its management company
- Work together with the Front Office Manager and Chief Engineer to maintain constant communications and status of all rooms
- Assist in policies designed to ensure the highest level of guest services according to the standards set forth by The Palms Hotel and Spa.
- Oversee the inspection of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and standards have been adhered to
- Ensure all arrivals rooms have been inspected and any discrepancies have been corrected
- Maintain constant communication with housekeepers regarding the status of rooms. Ex. Privacy signs early check-outs and late departures
- Ensure AM Report (inspection of all vacant rooms) is performed by 11:00 AM and communicated to the Front Office
- Ensure vacant and clean rooms are continuously given to the Front Office or input in computer for early arrivals
- Reconcile and resolve Housekeeping and Front Office room status in the computer on or by 5:00 PM
- Perform duties of housekeeping and laundry positions as necessary
- Attend all meetings related to Housekeeping and laundry
- Adhere to all fire, safety, and security procedures according to hotel policy
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction according to the standards set forth by The Palms Hotel and Spa
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation policies in all areas

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Committed to service, quality and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills. Proficient in the English language (written and verbal); a second language is an asset
- Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Basic computer skills

- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times

- Prior supervisory experience is preferred

Education/Certifications
High School diploma or equivalent work experience
