PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Charter Academy Principal function as a team to carry out teaching assignments. Works as a team to implement approved Charter Academy Educational program components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: In the absence of the Charter Academy Principal, teachers may be assigned to supervise the day-to-day operations of the academy for short periods of time to a maximum of two to three days.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty element satisfactorily while exercising independent judgement and discretion under the general supervision of the Charter Academy Principal. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required. The individual must meet age, medical, moral character, and any other requirements as defined by Florida Statutes. Florida Statute 231.02 requires all Charter School employees to be fingerprinted. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Must possess a temporary Teacher's Certificate or be Certified as required by Chapter 231.02 Florida Statutes. One to three years of teaching experience is preferred.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Middle School Math Certified with Algebra teaching experience prefered.
