Onsite Role

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in Deltek CostPoint, payroll processing, expense report management, and other financial processes. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all transactions and month end journal entries to ensure accurate and timely reporting of critical financial information.
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely employee compensation, including deductions and adjustments.
  • Review, verify, and process expense reports in accordance with company policies.
  • Utilize Deltek CostPoint for various accounting functions, including project accounting, billing, and job cost tracking.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts while monitoring expenses against budgeted amounts.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Participate in annual audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with external auditors.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting department.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting or project-based environment.
  • Proficient experience with Deltek CostPoint software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing (in ADP) and expense report management (preferrable SAP Concur)
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
