Lickety Split Air, Plumbing & Electric is a fast-growing residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical company. We are seeking a Payroll & Administrative Assistant to support accurate payroll processing while assisting with essential administrative and office functions.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle confidential information while managing both payroll support and general office responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Support

  • Assist with weekly payroll processing for all employees

  • Review and verify timecards, PTO, overtime, and pay codes for accuracy

  • Enter payroll data including new hires, terminations, pay changes, and deductions

  • Assist with payroll audits and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission

  • Support off-cycle checks, corrections, and adjustments as needed

Administrative & Office Support

  • Prepare and make bank deposits as directed

  • Perform general office duties including scanning, filing, copying, and document organization

  • Maintain accurate physical and digital records in accordance with retention requirements

  • Assist with mail handling, document distribution, and basic clerical tasks

  • Support office operations and administrative projects as assigned

Compliance & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate employee and payroll records

  • Ensure payroll and administrative processes comply with company policies and applicable laws

  • Assist with responding to payroll-related questions with professionalism and discretion

  • Partner with Operations and Accounting to ensure data consistency

Confidentiality & Professional Standards

  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee pay, personal information, and company-sensitive data

  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment at all times

  • Adheres to data privacy, record retention, and access control requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of payroll, administrative, or clerical experience preferred

  • Experience using AI tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working with payroll systems, timekeeping platforms, and office software

  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and wage & hour requirements preferred

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work on-site

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting multi-location workforce preferred

  • Background in trades, construction, or field service environments preferred

  • Experience handling cash, checks, or bank deposits
