Description

Position Summary

The On-Call Banquet Server is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service for hotel events, meetings, and special functions. This role plays a key part in delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience by ensuring events are executed with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event orders (BEOs), including tables, linens, glassware, and equipment 
  • Provide attentive and courteous food and beverage service during events 
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages to guests 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events 
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate effectively with team members 
  • Break down and reset rooms following events 
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards 
  • Support team members to ensure successful event execution 

Qualifications

  • Previous banquet, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail 
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds 
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions 

Work Environment

  • Event-driven schedule based on business needs 
  • Indoor banquet and meeting space with occasional outdoor events 
  • Fast-paced, guest-focused hospitality environment
