The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. Position Summary:

The IT Architecture and Cloud Engineering team seeks a full-time summer intern to assist with a pilot project focused on Machine Learning (ML) use cases. The goal is to evaluate business value and provide recommendations for future projects.

Responsibilities:

• Research and complete training on assigned cloud technology solutions.
• Participate in a pilot demonstrating the use of cloud-based ML technology.
• Document pilot outcomes and provide recommendations for next steps.

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Computer Science or related technology discipline.
• Strong programming skills and ability to learn cloud services quickly.
• Experience with GenAI or Machine Learning is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform independent research and demonstrate technical capabilities.
