We're looking for a enthusiastic Information Technology Intern to join our team and contribute to our efforts to put olive oil in every kitchen in America, by making it easy, fun, and exciting to switch to Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a friendly environment and learn from a passionate team of IT professionals. This internship is on site at Corporate Headquarters at 4201 Pulaski highway in Baltimore 5 days a week on site full time. Job Responsibilities:
Gain hands-on experience supporting cloud-based computing projects, including deployments, monitoring, and configuration tasks
Assist with lifecycle management of endpoints by helping plan and execute updates, patching cycles, and hardware/software refresh activities
Work alongside IT operations staff to support day-to-day technical workflows, incident tickets, and user support processes
Participate in evaluating and improving IT security procedures, including identity management, access control reviews, and security awareness initiatives
Help document infrastructure components, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures to strengthen team knowledge and onboarding materials
Use monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify system performance trends, propose improvements, and help ensure high availability across production systems
Support the IT team in deploying and testing new SaaS tools or cloud services, contributing feedback on configuration, usability, and security
Collaborate on small internal automation or optimization tasks aimed at improving IT efficiency across a fast paced CPG environment
Attend cross-functional meetings to understand how IT supports operations, supply chain, quality, marketing, and other business units within a multimillion-dollar enterprise
Demonstrate applied learning across Cloud Ops, Networking, or IT Support
Address a real operational need or deliver a measurable improvement
Include a final deliverable presented at Intern Presentation Day, where the candidate will tell the story of their internship journey—what they learned, built, and contributed
Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and environmental goals
Perform duties per Pompeian’s mission, goals and core values
All other duties and tasks assigned to assist with the IT department
Job Requirements:
Must be available to work June 8th – August 14th on site at 4201 Pulaski Highway at Pompeian Baltimore Headquarters manufacturing plant 5 days a week
Currently pursuring an undergraduate degree in Computing Majors, Information Science, or a Cloud Ops/Networking related field
Demonstrated strong interest in CPG manufacturing operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills
Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Creative, enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
Must have predictable and strong attendance
