Job Description

The Front Desk Agent serves as the welcoming face of the property, creating memorable first and lasting impressions for all arriving, in-house, and departing guests.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will:

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
  • Issue room key and escort instructions to Bellhop.
  • Transmit and receive telephone messages.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts.
  • Compute bill, collect payment, and make changes for guests.
  • Make and confirm reservations.
  • Able to listen and find solutions to guests problems

This individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required.
  • Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, or using a point-of-sale system is helpful.
  • Comfortable using phones and basic computer systems.
  • Additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus.
  • Must work weekends and holidays, including night shifts ( i.e., Second shift & Late second shift).
  • Availability for potential overtime.
