Overview

Step into a leadership role where safety meets sophistication at E11EVEN Club Hotel and Residences. As Director of Security and Safety, you’ll be the guardian of our guests, residents, and team members, ensuring every moment within our property reflects the highest standards of protection and peace of mind.

This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented leader who combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution. You’ll design and enforce security protocols, lead emergency response with calm precision, and collaborate across departments to create a secure environment that complements our luxury lifestyle experience.

Responsibilities

 
  • Direct, monitor, and lead all hotel security and safety programs, ensuring a secure environment that complements the property’s luxury standards.
  • Perform proactive protective and preventative security functions throughout the hotel complex, maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.
  • Implement and enforce all security-related SOPs while embodying the hotel’s mission, vision, and values with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Conduct documented daily tours of the property to promote safe work practices and identify potential risks.
  • Master emergency response procedures for fire, medical, severe weather, and other critical situations, ensuring swift and calm execution.
  • Maintain expertise in all security systems, including CCTV, radio communications, key card systems, and fire panels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of incident reports based on thorough and factual investigations.
  • Train managers and associates on emergency protocols and security best practices to foster a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads and Managers on Duty to maintain comprehensive security coverage across all operations.
  • Participate in investigations as needed, ensuring discretion and integrity throughout the process.
  • Assist in maintaining key control procedures in partnership with the Chief Engineer.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate security team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Respond immediately and effectively to security-related issues, projecting confidence and leadership.
  • Stay informed of local criminal activity and trends that may impact the property, adjusting strategies proactively.
  • Handle sensitive guest situations, including those involving incapacitated individuals, with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of basic accounting procedures and oversee the development and management of the security department budget.
  • Exhibit a calm, authoritative presence during high-pressure situations, serving as a trusted leader throughout the hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in security, safety, or risk management within hospitality, law enforcement, military, or healthcare environments, including proven leadership experience managing security teams.
  • College degree or relevant coursework in safety and security preferred.
  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or hospitality-related risk management strongly desired.
  • Basic First Aid certification required; advanced emergency response training is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, security and safety programs, and hospitality law.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Strong organizational skills to set priorities, plan strategically, and delegate effectively.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for clear and concise reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including guests, associates, and executive leadership.
