The Goddard School® located at: Avalon Rd & Porter Rd Winter Garden, FL 34787 is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Dance and Music Teacher.  This unique position serves both our Winter Garden and Horizon West schools, bringing engaging enrichment experiences to infants through Pre-K students. As our Dance & Music Teacher, you will create an engaging enrichment program that introduces children to music, rhythm, movement, dance, and self-expression in a fun, developmentally appropriate way. Through interactive lessons, singing, instruments, movement games, and creative dance, you'll help children build confidence, coordination, listening skills, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities

Music & Dance Instruction
  •  Plan and lead engaging music and movement classes for infants through Pre-K. 
  •  Introduce children to rhythm, beat, tempo, singing, instruments, creative movement, and dance fundamentals. 
  •  Create age-appropriate lessons that encourage imagination, creativity, and self-expression. 
  •  Incorporate seasonal themes, cultural celebrations, and special performances throughout the year. 
Classroom Collaboration
  •  Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate music and movement into classroom learning. 
  •  Foster positive relationships with children, families, and faculty. 
  •  Support school-wide events, family engagement activities, and special celebrations. 
Classroom Environment
  •  Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels successful. 
  •  Maintain music equipment, instruments, and classroom materials. 
  •  Follow all health, safety, licensing, and supervision standards. 
Qualifications
  •  Experience teaching music, dance, movement, or performing arts to young children preferred 
  •  Degree or coursework in Music Education, Dance Education, Early Childhood Education, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred 
  •  CDA or Early Childhood experience is a plus
  •  Ability to sing comfortably with children and lead movement activities 
  •  Comfortable teaching multiple age groups from infants through Pre-K 
  •  Excellent communication and classroom management skills 
  •  Reliable transportation to travel between our Winter Garden and Horizon West locations 
  •  Must successfully complete all state-required background screening and pre-service training
