We’re looking for a full-time Animal Welfare & Intake Counselor to join our animal shelter. As part of the operations team, you’ll have have the opportunity to make a difference within the community!
What you’ll do:
Provide daily care for shelter animals, including cleaning, feeding, and maintaining kennels.
Perform physically demanding work such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Assist adopters in finding the right companion.
Serve as a supportive point of contact for individuals surrendering pets.
Collect accurate behavioral and medical histories during intake.
Provide compassionate guidance regarding relinquishment and humane euthanasia options.
Collaborate with medical and animal welfare teams to ensure smooth intake.
Obtain Humane Euthanasia Technician certification within 6 months (training provided).
