Essential Job Duties:
Representative duties and tasks expected of the Accountant I are listed below. This list does not include marginal tasks that are also performed but are incidental to the primary functions. 1. Grant and General Accounting Activities
May require a driver’s license if assigned to transport files among facilities or assigned to a remote office.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, and ABILITIES:
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Candidates should exhibit the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively both within a team and with external partners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or a related field, or 4 years experience in a directly related field.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to resolve routine and non-routine problems in a professional, standardized manner.
